as a Brand
We categorize our brand as a unique experience.
Being coined from the Spanish term of a traveler, we consider our minds to be fearless travelers of the world even if we do not have ample opportunities to travel the world - we can travel by dreaming, we can travel by researching about cultures and people.
Each of our unique creations is a mix of ideas and influences; because of the diverse minds of the creators (painters/beaders/sewers) we can proudly say that we are different form the other creators because one creation is made by hand by very passionate artisans.
CREATE NEW FROM THE OLD
In VIAJERRO, we believe that nothing should go to waste, from the fabric remnants of our creations, to purchasing materials from local "ukay-ukay" or second hand stores.
In recycling and repurposing fabrics, leather,and other textile materials, we aim to be of help in minimizing fashion waste management which is also a big problem in most urban places.
VIAJERRO's identity is about mixing everything, a small fabric from the indigenous artisans of our country will be mixed with one woven from Mexico (from our travels to the nearest flea markets), or a second hand "OBI" from Japan surplus stores will be but in small square fabrics and patched with painted jute or canvas from local stores.
We try to create as few similar bags as possible because ideas and combinations are flourishing and one can never be idle because of the lack of concept and inspirations. We believe that we can mix any influence with another because we know that we can be united as humans - no matter the color, race, religion and ethnicity.
VIAJERRO loves diversity, we hope to unite everyone even through creating one single bag of stories.
